Who is Israel
You can not make the mistake of reading the Old testament and do not see your self in there. It is also important that you know the time is not of grace so be careful of taking thing literally and ask always the question, who talk to who, what are they saying and why?
Rom 9:24 Even including ourselves whom He has called, not only from among the Jews but also from among the Gentiles (heathen)?
God called people among all nations
Rom 9:25 Just as He says in Hosea { already in the old testament}, Those who were not My people I will call My people, and her who was not beloved [I will call] My beloved. [Hos. 2:23.]
Rom 9:26 And it shall be that in the very place where it was said to them, You are not My people, they shall be called sons of the living God. [Hos. 1:10.]
Man will say you are not but God will call you sons
Heb 8:8 However, He finds fault with them [showing its inadequacy] when He says, Behold, the days will come, says the Lord, when I will make and ratify a new covenant or agreement with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah
Heb 8:9 It will not be like the covenant that I made with their {us included} forefathers on the day when I grasped them by the hand to help and relieve them and to lead them out from the land of Egypt, for they did not abide in My agreement with them, and so I withdrew My favor and disregarded them, says the Lord.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel
He will make with Israel
Not with a new Israel
After those days- meaning after the time of the Jews
The new people will be his people. New- not new plan but time has come for others to come in
Rom 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Christian are led by God spirit< meaning us
Rom 8:29 For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].
Beginning- means I am not a after thought
I am one of the many
Rom 9:4 For they are Israelites, and to them belong God's adoption [as a nation] and the glorious Presence (Shekinah). With them were the special covenants made, to them was the Law given. To them [the temple] worship was revealed and [God's own] promises announced. [Exod. 4:22; Hos. 11:1.]
For they means us, because there is a covenant with you throu a promise
Rom 9:5 To them belong the patriarchs, and as far as His natural descent was concerned, from them is the Christ, Who is exalted and supreme over all { all nations}, God, blessed forever! Amen (so let it be).
Rom 9:6 However, it is not as though God's Word had failed [coming to nothing]. For it is not everybody who is a descendant of Jacob (Israel ) who belongs to [the true] Israel
Rom 9:7 And they are not all the children of Abraham because they are by blood his descendants. No, [the promise was] Your descendants will be called and counted through the line of Isaac [though Abraham had an older son]. [Gen. 21:9-12.]
Rom 9:8 That is to say, it is not the children of the body [of Abraham] who are made God's children, but it is the offspring to whom the promise applies that shall be counted [as Abraham's true] descendants.
The promise had made you part of Israel
Rom 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, I have raised you up for this very purpose of displaying My power in [dealing with] you, so that My name may be proclaimed the whole world over.
Rom 10:12 [No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith].
Rom 10:13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. [Joel 2:32.]
Rom 10:19 Again I ask, Did Israel
Moses knew the truth
Rom 11:2 No, God has not rejected and disowned His people [whose destiny] He had marked out and appointed and foreknown from the beginning. Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel
Elijah knew the truth
Rom 11:5 So too at the present time there is a remnant (a small believing minority), selected (chosen) by grace (by God's unmerited favor and graciousness).
Rom 11:6 But if it is by grace (His unmerited favor and graciousness), it is no longer conditioned on works or anything men have done. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace [it would be meaningless].
The natural Israel
Rom 11:25 Lest you be self-opinionated (wise in your own conceits), I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel Zion
All Israel
Rom 11:27 And this will be My covenant (My agreement) with them when I shall take away their sins.
God took away my sins on the cross. Give me new agreement which is a testament and promise me that I am a son with benefits like our First brother Jesus and there for I am saved from myself<amen
